Privacy Policy

In the course of doing business with PBMares, LLP, PBMares Wealth Management, LLC and Artifice Forensic Financial Services, LLC (collectively the "Firms"), you share non-public personal and financial information with us. We treat this information as confidential and recognize the importance of protecting you from unauthorized uses of your personal information. We are committed to maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of your information. Accordingly, we have adopted a privacy policy in accordance with federal regulations.

We collect personal information that you provide to us on our Firms’ applications or forms, and through information we obtain over the course of your business relationship with the Firms. The information may include name, address, phone numbers, e-mail address, Social Security Number, Employer Identification Number, names of family members, assets, account balances, investments and current or prior tax information and other information. We may also collect information from consumer reporting agencies.

We do not sell your personal information to any third parties. We do not disclose your personal information to third parties unless:

    • You have given us authorization to disclose the information;

    • As otherwise required or permitted by law.

We may share your personal information among the Firms. The Firms may share information when necessary to provide services or to offer you products or services, which best meet your needs. We may also share your personal information with companies that perform or may perform services for your account, including financial institutions, investment companies, and insurance companies.  We do not share any information determined to be “tax return” information except as permitted by the provisions of IRC Sec. 7216 and the regulations thereunder.

We maintain generally accepted standards of physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect your personal information from loss, misuse, alteration or destruction. The Firms limit access to your personal information to those employees who need to know the information in order to provide you with appropriate services. Our Code of Ethics, which applies to all employees, restricts the use of personal non-public information and requires that it be held in strict confidence.  Notwithstanding these precautions, we cannot guarantee that unauthorized persons will not obtain access to your nonpublic, personal information.

Our Qualifications

Our accounting firm is registered with the Public Company Accounting and Oversight Board (PCAOB) to better serve the growing needs of our clients. We are also proud to report that the Firm has consistently received an unmodified opinion from our peer review, which is the highest rating given by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. A peer review is an independent evaluation by a group of specially trained CPAs from an outside firm. It is important to know that the size of a CPA firm is not an indicator of the quality of its services as peer review standards are exactly the same for both large and small firms. A copy of our firm’s latest report is available for review.
