Mary Aldrich, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, AAAPM, Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Partner at PBMares, LLP, a U.S. Top 100 accounting and business consulting firm serving clients nationally and internationally from offices in the Mid-Atlantic, has been appointed to serve on the Board of the Newport News Economic and Industrial Development Authority (NNEDA).
As COO and Partner, Aldrich impacts the strategic direction, organizational design, enterprise risk, business lines, operational support departments, and merger integration for PBMares. She has a history of involvement in a variety of area non-profits and civic organizations, including serving as a member of the CIVIC Institute’s Class of 2016, as a board member of Sister Cities Yorktown, and former Board member and Vice Chair for the Newport News YMCA. In 2016, Aldrich was named a Washington DC SmartCEO Magazine Brava Award winner in the C-Suite Executive category.

The NNEDA acts as the development arm for the City and helps attract new industries, issues tax-exempt and taxable Industrial Revenue bonds and has facilities for sale and lease in the City of Newport News.
