Money Matters and Career Launch programs aims to promote financial literacy and equip youth with the skills necessary to succeed in a 21st-century career.  Participants learn practical skills such as managing a checking account, budgeting, saving, investing, and planning for college expenses or vocational training expenses.

C3 provides the resources and soft skills training necessary to assist individuals experiencing homelessness to become members of the workforce. Employment income is crucial in order to obtain and maintain housing and this program provides wrap around services to enable clients to find stable employment.

Youth coaches work with teens on building resumes, conducting practice interviews, and acquiring part-time jobs or paid internships. Lessons from the “Bring Your A Game” curriculum impart life skills like professional etiquette, financial literacy, and money management. Ultimately, the goal of the teen program is to prepare students to tackle the crucial next steps in life.

“Horizons LaunchPad Internships“ will provide 30 students with a robust 5-week experience – exploring careers and their pathways, developing hard and soft skills, and creating a powerful resume reflective of their experiences and readiness to succeed! Interns will serve in supportive roles in the Horizons summer K-8 program, while also participating in skill building classes, team building activities, job shadowing and hands-on experiences.
