Joseph’s career in public accounting began in 1988 and has since been shaped by his dedication to providing clients with clear, practical guidance that improves their accounting and tax positions.

He joined PBMares in 2024 following over three decades of managing audit and accounting engagements, with extensive experience in employee benefit plan audits, and mergers and acquisitions. Joseph also brings a background in federal and state tax-related compliance, consulting, and planning. His expertise spans identifying tax-saving strategies, optimizing entity structures, and safeguarding taxpayer assets.

Over the years, Joseph has developed a reputation for building relationships and supporting clients in ways that help them succeed, no matter what challenges come their way. From working with startups on entity formation to preparing a company for a potential sale, Joe is adept at strengthening financials and internal controls to align his clients’ vision with their growth objectives.

By combining his accounting expertise with tax strategies, he also identifies opportunities that help companies and their owners optimize compliance and maximize available tax benefits.

Joseph serves a diverse range of clients, including government contractors, construction contractors, software developers, medical professionals, manufacturers, auto service and repair shops, craft breweries, private schools, and youth associations.
