Tommy Healy was first exposed to accounting through business electives in high school and continued to pursue this interest in college because he enjoyed what he was learning. He has always excelled in math, but he acknowledges that accounting isn’t just about numbers; his top priority is helping his diverse clients solve their problems and achieve their goals, meeting each day’s unique challenges with enthusiasm.
By utilizing the firm’s risk-based audit approach, Tommy focuses on issues that will have a substantial impact on employee benefit plan clients and maximize audit efficiency. In turn, he has been named a Super CPA by Virginia Business magazine seven times for his work in the Employee Benefits practice area and once in the Young CPA category.
How Tommy can help you
Tommy leads a cross-functional team of audit and tax compliance professionals focused on serving PBMares’ employee benefit plan clients. Currently, the team audits over 200 employee benefit plans, including those of a number of public companies. He also serves as a board member of PBMares.
In addition to employee benefit plans, Tommy performs assurance services for hospitality clients, Federal government entities, financial institutions, construction contractors, manufacturing companies and retail businesses.
